About the Christmas Ornaments

Personalised Christmas tree decorations with a raised name and the year: baubles, stars, trees, hearts, stockings, snowflakes, bells and gingerbread men. Paste in the whole family and print one each, then add a new one every Christmas.

What you can change

• Type your own names and second line.
• Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
• Shape: bauble, star, tree and heart, and 5 more.
• Decoration: just the name and painted bands.
• Font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
• Colours: my colours, classic, holly, frost, gold & silver and candy.
• Pick the base and text colours.
• Adjust size, letter height, second line letter height and letter spacing, and more.
• Turn on or off: raised rim round the edge.

About 80 × 92 × 4 mm (width × depth × height), one piece at the starting settings.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

About 14 g of PLA and about 55 minutes to print, one piece at the starting settings (15% infill, 2 walls, 0.2 mm layers, on a Bambu Lab A1). Your slicer gives the exact figures for your printer and settings.

Questions

Can I print one for every member of the family?

Yes. Type the names separated by commas and the designer makes one ornament each.

Does it need a multi-colour printer?

No. The name and year are raised on top, so one filament change at that height gives you two colours.

When should I print it for Christmas?

Most of these print in an evening, but give yourself a week or two before Christmas for a whole family’s worth, a colour change or a reprint. If you’re posting them, print by mid-December.

What size is it?

About 80 × 92 × 4 mm (width × depth × height), one piece at the starting settings. Every size is a setting, so make it as big or small as you need.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

No 3D printer? Can you print it for me?

Yes. Buy it printed from our shop, with your names and colours from the designer, made to order in our UK studio.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
