Miniature Street Name Signs

Miniature UK street name signs on posts: a white panel with a black frame and the street name on one or two lines, between two posts with ball tops, standing on round feet. Prints flat; the posts push into the feet. Comma-separate names for a set, for desks, model villages and gifts.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Miniature Street Name Signs

Miniature UK street name signs on posts: a white panel in a black frame with the street name on one or two lines, between two posts with ball tops, standing on round feet. Each prints flat, its posts beside the panel, and the posts push into feet printed with it. Make a set for a desk, a model village or a gift.

What you can change

  • Type your own street names.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Font: 29 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Pick the panel and frame, letters, posts and feet colours.
  • Adjust letter height, panel length, panel height and height to the panel's foot, and more.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

Prints flat with no supports: the sign on its back with its posts, and two feet beside it. The frame and letters are a second colour on the panel; the posts and feet print in that colour too (with an AMS, or as their own print). Push each post's end into a foot, with a drop of glue if it's loose.

Ideas for using it

  • The street you grew up on, for someone who’s moved away.
  • A set of your family’s old addresses.
  • Your road, for a new home gift.
  • Signs for a model railway or a doll’s house street.

Questions

How do I make two lines?

Put a / where the second line starts, like “WESTMINSTER/BRIDGE ROAD”, and make the panel a little taller if it looks squeezed.

Can I print a set?

Yes: comma-separate the street names and they fill the plate in order, each with its own pair of feet.

Does it need two colours?

The frame and letters are a second colour on the panel; the posts and feet are that colour too. With one colour, print the panel in white and swap to black where the letters start; print the posts and feet as their own job in black.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs, for as long as your membership is active: if it ends, stop selling them. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
