Coin Bottle Opener Keyring

A chunky keyring with a coin hidden inside, its edge showing across the opening to lever caps off, and the name raised along it. Pause the print to drop the coin in.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Coin Bottle Opener Keyring

A coin bottle opener keyring: a chunky fob with an opening at one end and a coin hidden inside, its edge showing across the opening to lever the cap off, so the plastic doesn’t wear. A keyring hole at the other end and the name raised along it.

What you can change

  • Type your own name.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Coin inside: UK 2p, UK 10p, UK 50p, US quarter, €2 and €1.
  • Pick the opener and name colours.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

Prints flat, no supports. Add a pause at the layer height shown under the model (in your slicer, right-click the layer slider), drop the coin flat into its pocket when the printer stops, and resume. Change filament for the name too, or use an AMS.

Questions

How does the coin go in?

Pause the print at the height shown under the model, drop the coin into its pocket and carry on: the plastic closes over it.

Which coins fit?

A UK 2p, 10p or 50p, a US quarter, or a €1 or €2: pick yours and the pocket is sized to it.

Do I need a multi-colour printer?

No. Print it in one colour, or in colours with a filament change: the Colours line under the 3D view says at which height to change. With an AMS or another multi-colour printer, the 3MF prints it in one go.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
