A card-sized name badge with the name standing out big and a role or title under it, a slot for a lanyard clip or badge reel, and an optional icon and raised border. Upright or sideways.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Lanyard Name Badge

A lanyard name badge: a card-sized badge with the name standing out big across it and a role or title under it, Teacher, Vet Nurse, Office Dog, a slot at the top for a lanyard clip or badge reel, and an optional little icon and raised border. Upright or sideways, card size (to fit a badge holder) or a little smaller.

Lanyard Name Badge: a customisable 3D print, shown at its starting settings

What you can change

  • Type your own name and role or title under it.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Way up: upright and sideways.
  • Size: card size and smaller.
  • To hang it: A slot for a lanyard clip, A round hole and nothing.
  • Icon above the name: no icon, A heart, A star, A paw print and A plane.
  • Name font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Role font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Pick the badge and letters colours.
  • Turn on or off: in capitals and A raised border.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

Prints flat, no supports. The letters stand up from the badge, so change filament at the layer where they start (or let the AMS). Clip it to a lanyard or badge reel through the slot, or slip a card-sized one into a badge holder.

Ideas for using it

  • Badges for the whole team at work, a school or a nursery.
  • Names for volunteers, helpers or guests at an event.
  • A funny badge for the office dog or a cat mum.
  • A gift for a new teacher, nurse or vet nurse.

Questions

Do I need a multi-colour printer?

No. Print it in one colour, or in colours with a filament change: the Colours line under the 3D view says at which height to change. With an AMS or another multi-colour printer, the 3MF prints it in one go.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
