Cable Winder Keyring

A flat bar with wide wings that wired earphones or a charging cable wind round, with a slot to grip the cable, a notch for the plug, a keyring hole and the name along it.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Cable Winder Keyring

A cable winder keyring: a flat bar with wide wings at each end, so wired earphones or a charging cable wind round its middle and stay put, with a slot to grip the cable’s end, a notch for the plug and a keyring hole. The name stands out along the middle.

What you can change

  • Type your own name.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Pick the winder and name colours.
  • Adjust length and cable slot, wide.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

Prints flat, no supports. Change filament where the name starts (or use an AMS). Push the cable into the slot by the keyring hole, wind it round the middle and tuck the plug into the notch at the other end.

Questions

What size cable does it take?

Set the slot a little narrower than your cable so it grips: 2 mm suits most earphone wires.

Is it strong enough for keys?

Yes: print it with 3 or 4 walls and it’s a sturdy keyring.

Do I need a multi-colour printer?

No. Print it in one colour, or in colours with a filament change: the Colours line under the 3D view says at which height to change. With an AMS or another multi-colour printer, the 3MF prints it in one go.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
