About the Paracord Letter Beads

Paracord letter beads: a name as chunky letter beads, each with a cord hole running straight down through the middle of the letter, so they thread top to bottom on a paracord, a bootlace or a keyring cord and spell the name down it. A different pastel for each letter, or all one colour, with rounded top edges.

What you can change

  • Type your own name or word.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Cord: 550 paracord, thin cord or bootlace and thick cord.
  • Colours: A different pastel for each letter and all one colour.
  • Adjust letter height and bead thickness.
  • Turn on or off: in capitals and round off the top edges.

What you download

An STL or 3MF for any slicer.

Printing it

Each letter prints flat, face up, with no supports; the cord hole is a teardrop so its top bridges cleanly. Print one colour per letter (no AMS needed), then thread them on top to bottom and tie a knot under the last letter. Melt the cord’s cut end so it threads easily.

Questions

What cord do they fit?

550 paracord (about 4 mm) by default; there are sizes for thin cord or a bootlace (3 mm) and thick cord (5 mm).

Do they need supports?

No. Each letter prints flat, face up, and the hole is a teardrop pointing up, so its top bridges cleanly.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
