Gym Weight Plate Keyring

A little barbell plate on a keyring: a raised rim, hub and spokes, a name curving round the top and bottom, and the weight in kilos and pounds either side, the lettering in a second colour. Choose 45 lb, 20 kg and more, or your own words. Comma-separate names for a batch.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Gym Weight Plate Keyring

A little barbell plate on a keyring: a raised rim, a hub round the bar hole and four spokes, with a name curving round the top and bottom and the weight in kilos and pounds either side, the lettering in a second colour. Pick a 45 lb, 20 kg or other plate, or put your own words either side, like a personal best.

What you can change

  • Type your own round the top and round the bottom.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Weight: 45 lb, 35 lb, 25 lb and 10 lb, and 4 more.
  • Font: 29 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Pick the plate and letters colours.
  • Adjust diameter, thickness, raised rim, hub, spokes and letters and ring hole.
  • Turn on or off: spokes across the plate.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

Prints flat with no supports. The letters stand on the plate in a second colour: change filament where they start, or let the AMS. A 25 mm split ring with a short chain fits the tab.

Ideas for using it

  • A gift for a gym buddy, with their name round the top.
  • A personal trainer’s thank-you for each client, as a batch.
  • Your PB on one side and the date on the other.
  • Team keyrings for a powerlifting club, in club colours.

Questions

Can I put my own words either side?

Yes: choose “Your own words” for the weight, and a space in each side starts its second line, like “PB / 140 KG”.

How do I print a batch?

Comma-separate the names round the top; the bottom line is the same on each. They fill the plate in order.

Does it need two colours?

The letters stand on the plate, so change filament where they start (or let the AMS). In one colour they still read, raised.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs, for as long as your membership is active: if it ends, stop selling them. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
