Sunglasses Stand

A tall A-frame stand with a ledge for each pair of sunglasses or glasses, hung by the bridge with the lenses against the front. Notched or straight ledges, for one to six pairs.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Sunglasses Stand

A tall A-frame stand for sunglasses and glasses: each pair hangs folded from a ledge by its bridge, lenses resting against the front, with a lip at the end of the ledge to keep it on. Choose notched ledges, with a dip that holds the nose bridge so the pair hangs straight, or plain straight ones, and set how many pairs, how far apart and how wide.

What you can change

  • Ledges: notched and straight.
  • Pick its colour.
  • Adjust pairs of glasses, space between ledges, width and ledge depth, and more.

What you download

An STL or 3MF for any slicer.

Printing it

Prints lying on its side with no supports. Fold each pair of glasses and hang it by its bridge on a ledge, lenses against the front; the lip keeps it on. Measure the lenses’ height and set the space between ledges a little more, so each pair clears the one below.

Ideas for using it

  • Sunglasses by the front door, ready for a sunny day.
  • Reading glasses on the bedside table.
  • A display for selling sunglasses at a market stall.

Questions

How far apart should the ledges be?

A little more than your lenses are tall, so each pair hangs clear of the one below. 50 mm suits most sunglasses; go bigger for oversized frames.

Notched or straight?

Notched ledges hold the nose bridge in a dip, so glasses hang straight and can’t slide sideways. Straight ledges suit glasses with a flat or very wide bridge.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs, for as long as your membership is active: if it ends, stop selling them. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
