Diamond Painting Drill Trays

Diamond painting drill trays: triangle trays with a ridged floor that turns the drills face-up, a low wall and a pour spout to tip them back into the bag. Each can carry a colour code (a DMC number) engraved underneath; comma-separate codes for a batch. They stack.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Diamond Painting Drill Trays

Triangle drill trays for diamond painting: a ridged floor so a gentle shake turns the drills face-up, a low wall, and a pour spout at one corner to tip them back into their bag. Engrave each tray’s colour code underneath, or print them plain, as many as you like.

What you can change

  • Type your own colour codes underneath.
  • Make one, or a whole batch at once: paste a list of names and get one each.
  • Pick its colour.
  • Adjust side length and wall height.
  • Turn on or off: ridged floor.

What you download

An STL or 3MF for any slicer.

Printing it

Prints flat with no supports. The ridges are fine: a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.16 mm layers give the best result. The codes underneath are engraved into the first layers.

Ideas for using it

  • A tray per colour for a big canvas, codes underneath.
  • A stack for a diamond painting club’s table.
  • A gift with a new kit.

Questions

Do the ridges really turn the drills over?

Yes: the ridges are spaced so a drill on its back tips over when you shake the tray side to side.

Can I print them plain?

Leave the codes empty and choose “Fill the print plate” for a full set.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs, for as long as your membership is active: if it ends, stop selling them. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
