Clay Cutter Set

Clay cutters in any shape and size: circles, ovals, hearts, teardrops, arches, leaves, stars, squares, hexagons and moons, as a nested set of as many sizes as you like. A thin blade with a lip to press on, printed blade up for a clean edge, and an optional pin that punches the earring hole as it cuts.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Clay Cutter Set

Clay cutters in the shape and sizes you choose: circles, ovals, hearts, teardrops, arches, leaves, stars, rounded squares, hexagons or crescent moons, as a nested set from small to large. Each is a thin blade with a wide lip to press on, and can have a little pin inside that punches the earring hole as it cuts.

What you can change

  • Type your own sizes.
  • Shape: circle, oval, heart and teardrop, and 6 more.
  • Pick its colour.
  • Adjust blade depth, blade thickness, lip width and earring hole punch inside.

What you download

An STL or 3MF for any slicer.

Printing it

Prints lip down, blade up, with no supports, so the cutting edge is the last layer. A 0.4 mm nozzle prints a 0.8 mm blade in two clean lines. Wash before and after use; for food, use a food-safe filament.

Ideas for using it

  • A matching set of teardrop earring cutters, 15 to 35 mm.
  • Arches and moons for a statement earring collection.
  • Heart cookie cutters in three sizes.
  • Fondant shapes for cake decorating.

Questions

How sharp is the blade?

It prints blade up, so the cutting edge is the last layer: 0.8 mm thick, two lines from a 0.4 mm nozzle. Lightly sand the edge if it’s rough.

What does the hole punch do?

A little tube inside the cutter, near the top of the shape, that cuts the hole for an earring hook at the same time. Set it to 0 for none.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs, for as long as your membership is active: if it ends, stop selling them. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
