Advent Calendar Drawers

A cabinet of little drawers to fill, numbered 1 to 24 (or any grid and start), shuffled or in order, with a word on an arched top. The cabinet prints on its back and the drawers upright, with no supports.

Customise it in your browser, then download a print-ready STL, or a multi-colour 3MF. No CAD skills needed.

About the Advent Calendar Drawers

A 3D printed advent calendar you fill yourself: a cabinet of little numbered drawers, in order or shuffled, with a name or word on the arched top. Fill it with chocolates, notes or tiny toys, and refill it every December instead of buying a new calendar.

Advent Calendar Drawers: a customisable 3D print, shown at its starting settings

What you can change

  • Type your own word on the top.
  • Numbers in the cabinet: shuffled, so you hunt for each day and in order.
  • Numbers: raised, in a second colour and engraved.
  • Font: 26 to choose from, from script to stencil.
  • Print: cabinet and drawers, just the cabinet and just the drawers.
  • Pick the cabinet, drawer and number & word colours.
  • Adjust drawers across, drawers down, drawer width and drawer height, and more.

Size

About 21.8 × 6.1 × 15.7 cm (width × depth × height), one piece at the starting settings.

What you download

An STL for any slicer, and a 3MF with each colour as its own part, ready for an AMS or a filament change.

Printing it

About 477 g of PLA and about 26 hours 40 minutes to print, one piece at the starting settings (15% infill, 2 walls, 0.2 mm layers, on a Bambu Lab A1). Your slicer gives the exact figures for your printer and settings.

The cabinet prints lying on its back, the drawers standing up. Drawers slide in from the front.

Questions

How big are the drawers?

At the starting settings each drawer takes a wrapped chocolate or a folded note. Every size is a setting, so make the drawers bigger for small toys.

Does it need supports?

No. The cabinet prints lying on its back and the drawers standing up; the drawers slide in from the front.

Can I number it differently?

Yes: any grid and any start number, so it works for a countdown to a birthday or holiday too.

Do I need a multi-colour printer?

No. Print it in one colour, or in colours with a filament change: the Colours line under the 3D view says at which height to change. With an AMS or another multi-colour printer, the 3MF prints it in one go.

Which printers and slicers does it work with?

Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.

No 3D printer? Can you print it for me?

Yes. Buy it printed from our shop, with your names and colours from the designer, made to order in our UK studio.

Can I sell what I make?

On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
