About the Spool Hub Adapter
A spool hub adapter that fits any spool’s centre hole to your holder’s spindle or rod, with crush ribs so it grips firmly and an optional 608 skateboard bearing so the spool turns smoothly. Set the two diameters and it prints in pairs.

What you can change
- Centre: 608 bearing (press fit), runs on an 8 mm spindle and hole for a rod or spindle.
- Pick its colour.
- Adjust spool's centre hole, how far it goes into the spool, bearing pocket size and flange, past the hole, and more.
- Turn on or off: spoked.
Size
About 67 × 67 × 16 mm (width × depth × height), one piece at the starting settings.
What you download
An STL or 3MF for any slicer.
Printing it
About 31 g of PLA and about 1 hour 50 minutes to print, one piece at the starting settings (15% infill, 2 walls, 0.2 mm layers, on a Bambu Lab A1). Your slicer gives the exact figures for your printer and settings.
Ideas for using it
- Fit cardboard and big-hub spools to an AMS, a Prusa holder or a wall-mounted rod.
- Add a bearing to stop a heavy spool dragging and causing under-extrusion.
- Use spools from another brand on your printer’s own holder.
- Make a dry box rod work with every spool you buy.
Questions
What size is it?
About 67 × 67 × 16 mm (width × depth × height), one piece at the starting settings. Every size is a setting, so make it as big or small as you need.
Which printers and slicers does it work with?
Any FDM printer. The STL opens in every slicer; the 3MF keeps the colours as separate parts in Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Pick your printer in the designer to check it fits the plate.
Can I sell what I make?
On Pro and Ultimate you can sell the prints you make, for example on Etsy or at craft fairs. On Free and Maker, print it for yourself or give it as a gift. The STL and 3MF files themselves are never for sharing or selling.
